Select(D3) & Comp(D1) Changes in 2012
In 2012 the LYSC Select Program will become a D1 Competitive program. This is under the directive of district 6 which has reclassified all Select (D3) programs into the D1 Competive programs. Our Division 1 (Comp) program will start at U9 and will provide opportunities up to the U19 age group.
Division 1 or “Comp” title allows LYSC to be involved in a more competitive environment providing the Club opportunities and the leeway to participate in better-quality tournaments and league play. This “Comp” designation will allow LYSC to have unlimited team potential highlighting the talents of our soccer community without the limitations of the Division 3 or (Select) title
